DNN 9

If anyone is listening,

I just created a new DNN 9 site with OWS and it seems to work great.

You have to add the connection string to <appSettings> region on web.config, as this was removed on DNN 8, but once that is done all is good.

Even better is that using OWS to manage logins seems to work with Hashed passwords, this was not working in DNN8

Seems there is life in OWS still. Well done Kevin for creating a great module

I added the folling part to web.config file under appSettings tab
<appsettings>
<!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005/2008 Express - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules   -->
<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=myserver;Initial Catalog=mydatabase;User ID=myuserid;Password=mypassword">
<!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005/2008 - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=(local);Database=DotNetNuke;uid=;pwd=;"/>
    -->
</add></appsettings>
It is working now however still not able to select the configuration in the module setting
